For the short feature film "Irony of Fate", actress Dana Mae Klaßen takes on the leading role of Maria Sánchez.

Alejandro wants nothing more than a boy as an offspring. The fact that his wife María is having a girl makes him very bitter. Hurt in his patriarchal masculinity, he drowns his frustration in alcohol and becomes more violent towards his wife as he blames her.
Later, after Maria becomes pregnant with a boy, Alejandro can hardly believe it and is thrilled. However, it is not long before complications are found with the boy, and one tragedy after another follows. A bitter irony of fate.
