Valerie Anna Gruber
Actress
Valerie Anna Gruber was born in Vienna and grew up in a rural area in Lower Austria.
She has been working as a professional stage actress since the age of 15, performing at venues such as Sommerspiele Melk, Waldviertler Kammerbühne, Theater Arche, Theater Rakete, and Heunburg Theater.
She trained at the Stella Adler Studio of Acting in New York City and received her acting diploma in Vienna.
In addition to her extensive theatre work, she has appeared in several short films and TV series.
Since 2023, she has also been working as a production manager and is developing her own projects. Together with director, writer, and actor Daniel Pascal, she co-founded the association paraVent – Theater gegen den Wind, dedicated to bringing socially and politically relevant topics to the stage beyond traditional theatre spaces.
Valerie Anna Gruber also teaches acting based on the Stella Adler technique and is a passionate photographer.
She is fluent in English with an American accent and has a good command of French. She is living in Vienna and Klagenfurt.
Filming
The actor Jakob Englmaier plays a gendarme in the literary adaptation “Sturm kommt auf (Unruhe um einen Friedfertigen)” directed by Matti Geschonneck.
